Súper friendly staff and great offerings; I also love the late and early hours…. Pastries are top notch and coffee shop food good enough - can’t go wrong with grilled cheese sandwich.

Man, oh man! Usually when you get volume you can be overwhelmed by the amount carbs that can be given to you. Note I was hungry after a 2 hour nap from my flight. I didn't get sleep before. Could it have played the way I was hungry? Maybe. With that being said. Let's start. This spot was not the original place I wanted to eat because I was looking for something else, it's not normal that I crave biscuits in the morning but since this is different from my normal morning time breakfast fiend, ill make the exception. Hurry up and start talking the food! Alright alright: The reggie deluxe: Fried chicken, bacon, and Tillamook cheddar topped with mushroom gravy and an egg. There was another choice but i went with the recommendation. Absolute flames. First of all it's a hearty sandwich this could be shared for two. I knocked out this monster right out the gate. Every time I kept taking a bite im like, wow i can keep going. They make their biscuits from scratch everyday so super super kudo points for that. Blueberry Cornmeal Pancakes: Big triple stack made from scratch with local blueberries and served with butter, lemon, and real maple syrup. They serve you per pancake up on request, it my usual head two sounds good enough. These were nice size pancakes as well. The attention to detail with local ingredients just hits home. I can't tell you enough about this place. parking: pain in the butt as usual but I was lucky to find a spot early.

Visited in the afternoon and had a spicy pimento sando and a strawberry almond pop tart. I wasn’t impressed by the chicken biscuit (kinda hard, could’ve had more flavor), but the pop tart was worth the visit.

Solid bbq spot, I got a three meat plate with spicy mac & cheese and baked beans for my sides. The meat I chose was brisket, turkey and ribs. I would say the brisket and turkey were phenomenal, ribs were great too. I hated all the sauces though-sorry Botto’s but the sauce was not good, especially the Texas bbq sauce :( Everything else was top notch.

Yama Sushi is always a 10/10, not only for the incredible food but for the entire experience! David and his team truly go above and beyond to make every visit memorable. From the beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious food to the warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere, every detail makes dining here such a great experience. You can genuinely feel the care and passion that goes into everything they do. Yama Sushi is hands down our go-to spot, and I couldn’t recommend it more!

Portland has been my home for over 20 years and Yama on Clinton has always been, hands down, my all time favorite Japanese food in the city. Why am I credible? I lived in Japan for a year, and am the founder of both a sushi meet up and the Portland IEC (international eating club). The sushi is ALWAYS top notch, so fresh and cut with such care. The food is beautifully plated, high quality, and offers a good variety of Japanese cuisine. Service, and atmosphere are stellar as well. Even the simple appetizers that are served everywhere are the best at Yama on Clinton (get the tempura and agedashi tofu EVERY TIME). Whether youre looking for a quick, easy lunch by yourself, or a go-all-out birthday treat THIS IS THE SPOT.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant after seeing so many wonderful 5-star reviews, and while there were definitely some highlights, the overall experience was a little disappointing. First, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the food. We ordered the large dumpling, which was great, along with the beef and rice and garlic noodles. Our food also came out very quickly. However, there were a few things that detracted from the overall dining experience. The back room where we were seated was quite dark, and we noticed several nearby tables that still had dirty dishes on them the entire time we were there. We chose the only available two-person table, but when our food arrived, we realized that there were no cutlery or napkins set out for us, so we had to get up and find some ourselves. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restroom was also a concern, particularly the visible pink buildup around the sink. I’m sharing this feedback with the hope that it will be helpful, as we genuinely enjoyed the food and found the staff to be lovely. With a little more attention to table turnover, setting tables properly, and routine cleaning, I think the overall experience could be much better. I can see why people enjoy the food here, and I hope these small but important improvements can help make the dining experience as good as the food itself.
